A couple of weeks ago the weather we were having was amazing. The sun was out when I got up each morning at 5.30am, and it carried on shining all day right up until about 10pm, it was so good that it spurred me on and I couldn't wait to finish work to got out in the garden. I've been trying to get it looking really nice for a while now so we can all sit out in it and enjoy the sun. Over the last few years I haven't really 9lly done much in it to be honest and my decking was starting to fall apart, my grass was on it's last legs and looked a bit like Homer Simpson's head of hair. There was a big pile of junk sat waiting to be scrapped in the top corner and the fence around the garden boundary was so rickety and full of gaps it offered no privacy at all it was just ready to fall down. ...

Just to give you a heads up guys, in this post I'm talking about doing my Dad Duties. I know I don't blog much about that part of my life but it is my number one priority and I think it's about time I wrote a post about it all. Saying that I'm not actually going to talk about my kids that much, because I want to talk, a little bit more, about me. This might be the silliest question ever, but, who likes pizza?  Well I bloody love the stuff and could honestly eat it every day. Pizzas are definitely my go to meal when I'm at home and nothing has been put on for tea, I simply go to the freezer and pop one in the oven. Or even better, I ring the local takeaway, who may actually know me on first name terms. And I'm not very fussy about which one to order either, I just want one with as many toppings on possible so I normally go for a meat feast, with added spice, but if I'm sharing with my son I'll be nice and only get the spice on one side.  So what's your favorite topping? When I first started blogging, about a year ago, I remember joining a Twitter blogger chat and one of the questions asked was about blogger work space, or where the main area is that you do your blogging. I recall there being a good mixture of answers and a few people sent in photos of their blogging areas, some sent photos of lovely little rooms with a desk and room for a PC, book shelf and more, whilst others sent pictures in of just a laptop on their knees sat on the sofa in front of the TV. I was one of the people with my laptop on my knee - my house isn't big enough for any sort of a desk set up unfortunately. Winter please hurry up and go away! The only thing good about winter is when it actually snows and I can go sledging. I hate being cold, even though I spend most hours of my job outside working. You would think my body would be used to it by now, by no, it isn't.  I often have to wear a pair of long john's under my work pants, and you would think with my big beard I would be a little bit insulated, but no, none of this helps! So when I'm not outside working I spend a lot of time in my work van driving up and down the country - I can spend 70% of a twelve hour working day driving, whether it be driving from job to job which are local to each other or it be driving a long distance, doing the job and then driving the same distance to get back home again. So what were you favourite TV programmes of 2015? Are there any you  are looking forward to getting into during 2016? Watching TV is a fairly normal, everyday thing in my household. After a long day at work, after we have put the kids to bed, me and the wife love nothing better than switching on the wide screen TV, sitting down and relaxing with a cuppa - one that is usually made by me! We love to spend a bit of time catching up on our favourite programmes and having a few moments to do nothing but relax. OK, its not the most romantic thing in the world but we enjoy it and it's nice to have a bit of us time, with a brew in hand and, depending if any of us are on a diet, munching through a couple of biscuits... It's officially freezing outside, so this means only one thing... Get the jumpers and all those warmer clothes out from the back of the wardrobe. I've never been the biggest jumper fan really but I do own a couple but I don't really wear them much because I always feel too restricted in them and I hate feeling too warm. But Christmas is the time to be jolly and all of the people who wear novelty jumpers look great and really festive. My wife actually owns quite a few now, from fairly plain ones with Santa's on to an awesome one complete with a fireplace which looks as though it is alight due to it's battery operated effects. I can not believe how close it is to Christmas - this year has gone so fast!  If you are totally unorganised like me then you will have left it very late to go out and grab those last few things and get them sent off to Santa in time for the big day. But there is still time. I have put together a little gift list in the hope that if you as laid back as me, it will help you get some last minute things quickly so your friends and family don't have to miss out. I've also added a couple of things I would love to find in my pressie pile on the big day and these may be ideas for things you could grab for a partner or Dad too. A lot of you will probably know that my life has just become really busy lately due to the birth our baby girl Willow. You girls don't need me telling you, but it's a tough 9 months being pregnant, well I'm only going of what my wife says. To be honest I don't think I could cope carrying all of the added weight around, I feel uncomfortable if I've eaten to much and my pants and shirt become too tight.  But like I said, its been a tough 9 months for her so a treat was definitely in order. Being a blogger you get so many fantastic opportunities whether it be a product review, a blogger event or a fashion collaboration or reviewing an amazing restaurants.  I will admit I have been a lucky guy in the last 11 months and have been invited to do a lot of the above, some more than others. In fact I've only ever done one restaurant review, which I really really enjoyed. So this is why I was over the moon when I was sent an invite to attend an event at the new Turtle Bay which was due to open in Huddersfield on the 29th of October. Luckily, I was on paternity leave due to my baby girl being born on the 15th, so I knew I could definitely attend. When we attended, the restaurant wasn't even open - in fact the builders had only just handed over the keys to the manager...
