Smart casual

If you have read my other posts you will know I don't dress like your average 32 year old  But if you haven't take a look  here  and here I live in casual clothes most of the time - its only the odd occasion where I kind of smarten my self up a bit But since I have started blogging I have noticed that a lot of the male bloggers look amazing and are always dressed really smart. I must admit I am a bit jealous So as my last outfit post was about the casual outfit I would wear I think I'd better do one a little bit smarter. You never know I may get invited to a bloggers meet up or maybe an event so it would be nice to smarten up a little - but not too much. I wear clothes that I think look good and I feel most comfortable in and if others think I look daft then never...

Dressing Casual for

I wanted to do a fashion post but was unsure what fashion route I wanted to go down for my first one  Do I go for the easy option by doing one with the top brands I could never afford  Or do go through the high street store web sites and pick out clothes that everybody else wears  No chance!  One, I will never be able to buy all the top bands  And two I'm not one to shop in the high streets stores, I'm more of an independent label kinda guy Then I had to decided what sort of look I would go for Do I go casual?  Do I go for the smart look?  Do I go smart casual? Or maybe something to wear on a night out? Or do I even do what I think looks good on the opposite sex? Then I had to think about what sort budget I could use to make it realistic ...

Liebster Award

So it was a normal Monday night after a busy weekend of work and kids rugby. I just wanted to relax, as the weekend normally takes it out of me. So I decided the gym was a no go and it was going to be a night on the sofa watching TV. I was watching The Voice, which I had recorded from Saturday night and decided to have a look through my Twitter feed, as you do.  With me only being new to the blogging world I like to read through as many followers blogs as possible. I've never been known to be much of a reader in the past but I've started to really enjoy it. I was on my 4th post when I came across one titled  The Liebster Award It sounded interesting - I wondered what the blogger had won.  I had to read through it  So...

Secret Geek

Not a lot of people in my life know that I am a bit of a secret geek My story goes way back to when I was a young boy  Many moons ago ! I think it stared when I was in my latter years of middle school or my early years of upper school It seem weird saying middle and upper school nowadays   But I think that's just showing my age!   Around that time I used to spend a lot of time at my cousin's house  We used to get up to all sorts of mischief nothing too bad may I add  On with the geek story I can not fully remember how it all started  But my earliest memories are sat at my uncle's in the front room playing Hero Quest It was an adventure board game created by Milton Bradley, in conjunction with British company Games Workshop It was...

Do I dress too young?

A long long time ago when I was in my youth I went through many phases which effected my dress sense more that I ever knew now I think about it. When I look back at photos of when I was really young I cringe. For some reason my parents seemed to think that me and my brother were twins even though he was two years older. Every holiday photo we had on matching vest, shorts and Velcro pumps  the only things we had on different were  our bum bags and tie around the neck coin holders. But the differance was only a change in colour. I bet I know what you are thinking poor kids! And before u ask that's not me modeling in the photo. Moving on to my teens. I mainly had to wear what I got handed down to me but in fairness my brother who I got them off...

2014 highlights

So on New Years Eve I was invited to the in laws for a little bit of a family get together to see the year out.  It was a great night - more than enough food, loads to drink (even though I don't drink) well not very often. Me and my brother- in-law manage to get a few games of FIFA 15 in before all the guests turned up too, which was a bonus. It wasn't a big fancy party it was just a small gathering of grandparent,s cousins and other family members so, as usual I turned up in my weekend clothes - joggers and a hoodie. But not my SnapBack this time as I always get told off by the father-in-law - because, as I've been told "it's rude to wear hats in the house" - which I normally ignore but this time I put a bit of product on my hair so I looked a bit smart. I made a poin...

New year new start !

I've never been one to have a New Years resolution but at the ripe old age of 32 and with a son who never sits down and is always on the move its time to take a serious look at my health. To be honest I have never classed my self as over weight or under weight I've kind of been happy with my self. I'm still an active rugby player, I've never played at an high level, but any body who has ever played rugby knows it's a tough sport! But over the last year I've gradually noticed that I have become pritty lazy.  Slacking at work, doing nothing but slouch on the sofa when I'm home from work, getting out of breath walking up stairs. Not good really. So on December the 28th I decided to weigh my self and to be honest I've not really gone wild over Chr...

Getting started!

Hello So here it goes my 1st blog post. Hi. My blog, A Blokes Eyeview, will give me the chance to share with you all of the things I enjoy and possibly some things that I don't enjoy. I see my self as a normal 32 year old husband /dad who still takes part in most sports - especially Rugby League, but I also enjoy expressing my inner geek by painting miniatures and playing war games with them (its not as bad as it sounds). I also enjoy everything to do with food, keeping fit and also playing Xbox. I hope you all enjoy my future posts and I look forward to reading your comments  Carl B.
